and then...
so we went camping to the forest of dean (britain's first national park) and visited the wye valley, particularly symonds yat where i went canoeing when i was a nipper. saw some peregrine falcon chicks learning to hunt pigeons which was rather fab. we stayed in a campsite that features in today's featured book and plan do do a few more too.
i am mighty glad the summer has come back. seemed a bit like the end of the year what with getting ready for back to school and even talking about the hirage of christmas temps... eeeeek i say.
i have given up alcohol for a while too. it's hard but it needs to be done. will have to toast s&n's new pad at the weekend and it would be rude to do it with water though!!!!! it's for many reasons, one of which is to fight my flab. i do wonder how people manage to loose loads of weight in such short spaces of time. i do my best but it takes ages!
well that's it. i'm done in what with all this typing and no red stuff to keep me alert. think i need a nap........

i really fancied the idea of the tepee place in that cool camping but of course it's WELL booked up since the book came out.
i know. and the rest are full of kids! but then it's summer hols!
Camping sounded really good - haven't slept in my tent at all this year! First year for about 45 years - am I getting old or have I lost all my camping buddies?
