church stretton

well i am back from my hols in the countryside. we stayed in a cottage surrounded by hills and lambs and bunnies. walked up some of the hills. drank lots of fine wine, ate very good food (if you are ever there jaipur does amazing indian take-away - so good we had it twice!) and were in excellent company.


visited castles at ludlow, stokesay and wigmore. very taken by the ruins of the priory at much wenlock. and the first ever iron bridge at ironbridge was smaller than i was expecting! and a sheila-na-gig above a door in the church at church stretton was the first one i've ever seen in the flesh so to speak. very cool.
